Make voting in general elections not only a right but the law!
This petition had 8 supporters
Every general election we see thousands of the population's votes never being accounted for. 66.1% out of the whole UK population came to alot there electoral vote in 2015, yes there has been a tiny increase in 2016 mayor elections, BUT still there is a vast majority of voters who do not show there right to vote each general election when it matters the most. In a perfect world there should be the whole 100% of the population giving there say. What I aim to achieve is simply to ask the UK parliament to put a law deeming ( The vote not just a right but a must by law)
For those who do not show up to vote, be given a fine or something along those lines.
We have been given a huge privilege to be proud of are country and are rights, voting should not be thrown away like it don't matter. We should be proud to be able to vote.
