It is estimated that HS2 is going to cost the British taxpayer £100 Billion, in these times of severe austerity and an ever uncertain future outside of the EU, the British public should be allowed a referendum on whether we actually want to spend our hard earned tax money on the HS2 scheme. A simple Yes/No referendum is all that is required.
