The UK Government could help the every day classes by temporarily reducing VAT on fuel and Fuel Duty (Currently at 57.95p Per Litre). Reducing these rates on a temporary basis would go a long way to ensure people can continue to go about their daily lives and continue to support the nations economy. For example reducing VAT to 5% similar to the 'Eat out to help out' Scheme back in 2020 and reducing Fuel Duty to 30p per litre, for a fixed 6 months, would have a massive positive effect on ever car drivers finances and businesses alike.
