Charlotte Smith started this petition to UK Parliament

Every year as we get closer to September to December, we notice a huge increase in fireworks being used. Unfortunately, they are being used for bad more than good as the years go on. Each year we see several news stories telling us some idiotic person has brought fire works and set them off with the intention of harming people.

Just last night a video went viral of a young man, setting fire works off in a dominos pizza shop. Last year a firework was set off inside an elderly man's house, going through the letterbox. And recently a blind lady and her guide dog was attacked with fireworks. (These are only a few examples)

I understand firework night is a tradition and I do not want to end the tradition for people who have done nothing wrong. This is why I believe we should bring in firework licences. Sold to people who are putting on firework displays that the public can go to. I believe the firework should only be sold to people over a certain age, and needs to have a clean criminal history.

Please help by signing this. We need to keep the public safe, yet still enjoy a tradition. I believe this is a good solution.
