Stop Fulani Herdsmen from killing of innocent people in Nigeria

A new form of terrorism and genocide is decimating the people of Nigeria without any response from the government! If we don’t act now, it is likely to continue unabated and spread to most of west Africa, leading to deaths, displacement and significant emigration.
I have been deeply troubled by the constant stream of news about innocent people (mostly farmers) killed by Fulani Herdsmen. The most recent account was in Benue State (located in the middle of Nigeria and very close to the capital and seat of power) where 74 farmers were killed by Fulani Herdsmen carrying AK-47 rifles. This is by no means a one off occurrence. In fact more than 1,000 people have been killed by these Herdsmen. There has been multiple confirmed reports in at several states in Nigeria - Edo, Ogun, Enugu, Rivers, Delta, Taraba, Imo. Most of the people in these states are Christians!
Despite several appeals to the government and security operatives of the country, not a single person has been arrested for these acts. It is sad that the President of the country has not openly condemned these acts.
The ask: I will like you to sign this petition for the UK and US government to call on the Nigerian Government to stop this incessant killings and bring the perpetrators to account.
