Stonehenge Bypass must happen

Stonehenge Bypass must happen
Hundreds of thousands of lorry drivers, motorists and families sit in Stonehenge related traffic jams on the A303 for hours, each week. The thousands of idling motor vehicles is causing significant adverse effects on the local environment and on the climate.
Hidden relics of ancient times will be discovered during the construction of a bypass tunnel and permanently preserved for all to see. A tunnel will enable the return of the natural landscape around historic Stonehenge and remove unsightly roads and traffic from view.
The benefits to many of a bypass tunnel should not be held to ransom by the opinions of a few vocal preservation idealists.
An efficient road transport network will still be required when all vehicles are electric.
The existing travel chaos around Stonehenge for businesses, families and individuals, especially during summer months, are unacceptable. The tunnel bypass and extended dual carriageways of the A303 must proceed as soon as possible.
