Women of the UK have always been tormented by the threat of drink spiking and date rape drugs. Recently there has been a sudden epidemic of spiking injections which have left people paralysed literally and figuratively in fear. The issue is that, as much as we try to protest this with the recent ‘Girl’s night in,’ and social media slamming, clubs remain intransigently ignorant. 

The way we can combat spiking is through projecting our fear onto those who spike. If there was a severe consequence for example; 25 years without parole with a minimum of 10 years,’ this would definitely deter those dangerous people that walk amongst us blissfully free without punishment.

Clubs and bars have a motive of revenue and profit, but this is bigger than nights out - this is criminal behaviour inflicted on helpless women. Laws need to to be instated to keep women safe and unafraid of the evil people that are partying with us.

We need to take back the night. Women needn’t be afraid, it should be those who commit the crime.
