Education should be about more than passing exams. The current curriculum is too narrow and becoming more so as schools divert their scarce resources away from arts, technical and life skills.

I am a teacher working in companies like Votes For Schools to achieve this goal. I fully agree with this campaign and believe the curriculum needs a complete turn around, instead of becoming more inward facing (English focus) it needs to be outward facing to the world in an ever changing diverse society and world.

I teach in Wales where a new curriculum is being developed to consider these issues & I think it should be the same in England too
