Wednesdays budget announcement of a 1% pay rise for NHS staff is derisory, worse than having no rise at all.
For the last 12 months these amazing people have put others before themselves and soldiered through what will surely be considered the toughest ordeal of their lives.  Pay our NHS staff what they deserve for their commitment and loyalty. I believe that the majority of the British public would be prepared to pay more in tax to pay our NHS staff properly.
