Tim Coombs started this petition to UK Parliament and

The Fixed Terms Parliaments Act is no longer fit for purpose, it denies the rights of the electorate to have a say in how parliament acts, resulting in a dictatorship. Any Member of Parliament that does not honour the wishes of the electorate, either in a referendum or in any other election, should be banned from holding any political office for life. Any Member of Parliament that causes or assists another to cause the downfall of a government, without dissolving parliament and holding an election within 60 days should be charged and prosecuted for High Treason. The electorate, having voted in a referendum is being denied the constitutional right to have an election to decide who should govern. The majority of the electorate are the victims of a coup to have the United Kingdom ruled by another state against its will. A general election is a simply remedy, whereby the electorate can make individual choices based upon a number of manifesto’s. Where an election produces no overall majority, the party with the most votes must form a government and hold a further election within 180 days. If at any stage a government ceases to have an overall majority it must call an election within 90 days.
