Remove Portugal from the UK red list

Remove Portugal from the UK red list
Why this petition matters
Portugal has been added to England’s red list, meaning that travelers who are able to return from ‘red list’ countries will have to quarantine in government-provided hotels at a cost of £1,750 per head – covering food, accommodation, transport and testing.
If you are travelling as a family and plan to stay in the same room, a second adult will cost £650 and children aged five to twelve £325.
This petition is based on the fact that Portugal is now one of the Countries in Europe with the lowest death rates and infections. Furthermore, both Portugal and England have strict travel rules, such as a 14-day quarantine upon arrival and a Covid negative test before travelling.
In view of the above, there is no legal or scientific reason why they should be on that List.
