Susan Idoko-Okpe Lawani arrived Abuja, Nigeria from London on the 22/3/2020 on a trip for her mother's burial. She travelled aboard Kenya Airways via Lagos enroute to Abuja. Suffering Jet lag from a journey that lasted almost 24hours, She went to have herself checked at a private hospital. Two days later, she was surrounded and accosted by Armed men from Benue State Government, she was removed and taken to an Isolation centre on the suspicion that she was positive for Covid-19.

Susan is in high spirits, healthy and has made a full recovery from her jet lag, but 17 days on, she is still being held against her will at an Isolation centre in Abuja, Nigeria and denied freedom to proceed with her journey to bury her mother.

Susan has committed no crime and broken no law. She is a law abiding citizen of the United Kingdom and has family in Nigeria.
