Wayne Perry started this petition to UK Parliament and

There are many small businesses in the UK that operate under a Limited Company and these individuals are being excluded from Government help during the Coronavirus shutdown.

The loss of revenue from the shutdown may cause, in a lot of cases, companies to never recover and be closed for good, putting the directors into financial straits or even bankruptcy.

This is a dire situation that could be alleviated by releasing funds from pensions, that we are legally required to join. Many of these people will have pensions, which have been devastated by the crisis. Pension investments have decreased rapidly, in some cases by over 30% and are likely to continue to do so. This money is tied in until pension age, providing a meagre pension for most people, which will be of little comfort if they were to lose everything now because of the crisis.

If released now, to people in financial straits and facing bankruptcy, it would ensure that the people retain their homes and businesses, providing a viable future for their employees. By supporting them now when really needed, would allow them to recover with dignity from this unusual situation and be financially secure, continue paying taxes and to rebuild a pension again for their future.

Failure to allow this could mean many more out of work, with little prospects of a comfortable future or retirement.

If you fall in this category or know people in this category who will not get the support they need during the Coronavirus crisis - please sign this petition!

Many thanks
