Elizabeth Willett started this petition to UK Parliament

Recently found full body restraints, straight jackets and equipment to tie people to a bed being marketed as products for the care for people with dementia or mental health conditions on Amazon (they have taken them down now).

I complained to the ASA who replied saying that it is not illegal to sell these products. I think it’s about time that it is.

I feel that it is frightening that there are people who are able to access full straight jackets for about £100 from the internet and use them without anyone asking questions or examining whether there is someone who is vulnerable needing help. I would like the sale of these products to be regulated.
