I want the government to ratify Convention 169 of the RIGHTS OF TRIBAL AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES CONVENTION 1989

EDM (Early Day Motion)1299: tabled on 20 April 2009

Tabled in the 2008-09 session.

On the grounds that we are the indigenous peoples of Great Britain.

As DNA evidence grows, showing that the invasions of Britain in the last 2000 years have had far less genetic impact than was previously believed and that we the English, Scottish, Welsh and Cornish, are indeed the indigenous peoples of Great Britain, we would like recognition of this and we would like to be protected against invasion/replacement.

Therefore I want the government to ratify Convention 169 of the RIGHTS OF TRIBAL AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES CONVENTION 1989 and give us the protection we need.
