Roger Mouncher started this petition to UK Parliament

I wish to petition the United Kingdom Parliament to help supply COVID-19 Vaccines to poorer countries around the world and my particular concern is for the people of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

As my wife and I have Bhutanese friends there who were so very friendly and hospitable when we visited that beautiful country. At present, 6/7/2021, with a very small population , of only 775.7 thousand, have only managed to vaccinate 40 % of the population. They are only administering approximately 80 doses per day, meaning it will , at that rate, take another 1,901 days to give enough doses for a further 10% pf the population to be protected. This equates to 5 and1/4 to vaccinate the entire population !!

That is just one example of what a dilemma these poor people are facing. Imagine how devastating this pandemic is to other South East Asian countries, especially India , and ,of course, Africa, and South America, etc.

If the Western countries do not help these countries, and variants start to develop through winter months, then it would seem very likely that the current vaccines would need to be developed to combat these new mutations .

I appeal to the British Government to find a way to help these poor people overcome this terrible situation by supplying vaccines as soon as possible, because unless we help the Rest of the World, we ourselves will forever be at risk that this COVID -19 Pandemic will continue to be a threat for many years to come.

PLEASE HELP !

Thank you .
