Put animal Sentience back into Brexit Bill

Earlier on this week MP’s voted to omit Animal sentience from the Brexit Bill, basically saying that animals feel no pain or emotion. Being a pet owner myself I find this deeply upsetting especially when I feel the love and empathy radiating from my pooch. Animals can indeed feel guilt, fear and a whole range of emotions and although they might not necessarily be able to tell us where they most certainly can feel pain.
I believe the UK government needs to have another look at this and indeed another vote.
