The UN right of VETO by 5 countries means that even today many are not equal in the eyes of the laws.

This means the countries who make the rules are able to penalise others, and at the same time are not required to abide by common laws.

Countries who are unfortunately still paying to free themselves from subjugation need to be given appropriate support. This includes ongoing as well as unfair reparations from colonisation and slavery as recently for example in South Africa beginning during the 1990’s, and Palestine etc.

This reconciliation and peace process will only be successful if we have equality. I’d like to have the matter promoted by the UK Parliament, UN and EU, and appropriate regulations to support equal rights implemented.
