Petition to force the closure of touring parks and sites to prevent COVID-19 spread

Following latest Government guidelines and advice relating to self isolation to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, many tourist caravan parks and facilities remain open resulting in people moving from virus hot spots to rural and coastal areas. Two examples are the Caravan and Motorhome Club and The Camping and Caravanning Club who are keeping their sites open, encouraging people to visit areas which have limited NHS capability and often a considerable elderly and therefore, vulnerable population.

These sites and parks need to close with immediate effect to promote the Government advice of Stay At Home. This will result in less virus spread and should reduce the possibility of increased pressure at local NHS establishments. Areas such as Cornwall, Cumbria and Lincolnshire have already expressed their concern with the influx of visitors. The local people from these areas, whilst in normal times would encourage tourism, are now asking people to stay away until the Government advice to STAY AT HOME is lifted
