There has been little recognition of the fact that this year marks 100 years since the end of the First Great World War. Guns across Europe fell silent and peace was declared. Though we fall silent on armistice Sunday, there should be a wider recognition of the sacrifice and human cost that came with this peace. We are calling for the UK Government to give all these men, women and children who made sacrifices beyond themselves to be recognised and enshrined in an official Bank holiday so that generations to come will remember. This is an issue worth bringing to the table so that Armistice becomes more than just 2 minutes of silence #LestWeForget
