Casey Hocker started this petition to UK Parliament and

I have started this petition to make the national curriculum, particularly the areas covering World war 1 & 2, more open and aware of the help Britain received from black and ethnic minority communities.
When the topic of World war 1 and World war 2 are taught in school there is currently no obligation to discuss the assistance Britain received from BAME soldiers. I believe that to start the inclusion of BAME pupils in schools the first necessary steps that can be implemented easily and quickly would be to discuss the true history of Britain during the world wars and how Britain were aided during the wars and after the wars to help rebuild.
