#MyImageMyChoice! Change laws on sharing private images without consent

Recent news

We have huge news! (But we still need your help…)

...The Law Commission’s consultation paper on intimate image abuse is out, and it looks so promising! Now, we’d love for you to use your voice and take part in their public consultation. The proposals in this review are a MAJOR step forward. It features *five* of our survivor testimonies and responds to four of the key recommendations you supported by signing this petition. This public consultation is a once-in-a-generation chance to change the law! Your voices need to be heard - victims and supporters. The consultation is live until 27 May; here are the questions: https://consult.justice.gov.uk/law-commission/summary_intimate_image_abuse/consultation/intro/  We think the most important questions are 1, 9, and 12. (You don’t need to answer every question, by the way!) Crucially, Q1 asks “if there should be a base offence with no additional intent?” We think YES! The law needs to cover sharing intimate images without consent, no matter what the motive. Look out for Ruby on BBC news/iPlayer today, and our coalition on Woman's Hour, 5Live and Victoria Derbyshire this morning! Check it out here: https://bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-56333561   Thank you for all your support so far - let’s change these laws Solidarity and love, #myimagemychoice
