More help for veterans suffering PTSD in Scotland.

There are many invaluable charities working in Scotland to support the 260,000 veterans residing here. However, there is still a shortfall in services provided and the help veterans receive. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can have a severe impact on a veteran’s life and in severe cases can mean that those most in need are unable to reach out for the help available. In many instances this can lead to prison, homelessness, isolation or even suicide. PTSD had a huge impact on families and the lives they lead as a direct consequence of military conflict - much of this heartache could be avoided if there was a higher priority made for the welfare of veterans alongside an improvement in communication between Government Agencies and those committed to providing services and support.
