Leicester is currently in the news and unfortunately for the wrong reasons. Factories in Leicester have been breaking the government lockdown rules from day 1 and a lot of them have been involved in the furlough scams.

But the worst of this all is the fact that these factories have complete disregard for human life and will do anything for their financial gain. We have spoken to people who are paid as little as £2.75/hr working 10 hours a day. Not only that, someone who have tested positive for COVID-19 have been told to not tell anyone and still come to work. As we know there is no social distancing working in such inhumane conditions, no wonder there has been a spike and the inevitable city lockdown.

This is modern slavery and we want to make a start in abolishing it. We want these factories to be shutdown unless they start following the government guidelines but more importantly pay the right wages and adhere to their statutory rights.

We have a lot of people who have named such factories and we are speaking to GLAA and have also reported them to the authorities.
