Sarah Everard was "arrested" raped and killed by a lone police officer not in uniform. To prevent this happening again, a woman arrested by a single officers not in uniform should have the legal right to make a 999 call to verify the validity of such an arrest before being apprehended. This would enable the "arrested" to legally resist arrests undisclosed to the police service by officers intending to harm such arrested persons. Any law around such 999 calls would also make it a legal requirement that a second officer, preferably a uniformed or female officer be present before the apprehension of any female suspect.
