Increase time to lodge an unfair dismissal claim with ACAS from 3 to 6 months minus 1 day

My husband died suddenly from acute left ventricular failure with sudden unexplained nocturnal death syndrome on 28th Jan 2017 aged just 40. Before his death he was following up on an unfair dismissal claim with an employer who sacked him in October 2016. I'm positive the stress of this led to his sudden death. He was not in a good state of mind and believed he lodged the case with ACAS in time but documented signs and symptoms of stress and heart conditions are mental confusion. He was exhibiting these symptoms. As Gordon is not alive to confirm he believed he had logged the case with ACAS the judge could not grant an extension. The law needs to change to extend the time limit for cases of unfair dismissal to be heard; especially when the person has passed away.

I was unable to get justice for my husband in what was blatant unfair dismissal.
