Due to this pandemic registered blind people are struggling to get essentials due to the vulnerable list not including them. My dad is one of these people. After 10 days of trying desperately to get a home delivery for him with zero luck I filled in the vulnerable list on the government website but found disabled people are not included. Sainsbury's and waitrose are only accepting people put forward as vulnerable via the government. How can a blind person social distance from others? How to they get essentials with no help available to them? How do they go to the supermarket with no store assistance to help them find their essentials?
