Having been in the electrical industry for nearly 20 years I have come across allot of poor to dangerous work, although the majority of electricians try to adhere to the current issue of BS7671 there are allot that don’t!! Even being part of a CPS doesn’t stop this. 

I would like to see the wiring regulations being made mandatory and electrical work only to be carried out by “qualified “ electricians who are held accountable for their work. 

I feel it’s time the regulations stop being referred to as a guide and instead be a legal requirement.
