Wasting money on Mayors is pointless and the money can be spent better elsewhere. NHS, Social care  same for Commissionners. Also they are highly political and bias, they have far too much power too often interfering in things they have no real experience of, they can cause rifts and arguements within communities rather than uniting them.

There is a bias too on projects to help communities, squandering money in some cases fraud so better to just have a council no need for Mayors, added cost to taxpayer.
