UK fuel prices are just about to become completely unaffordable for the majority of working class Brits and this cannot continue, nobody in 2022 should be having to choose between eating, heating or having a simple light on in one of the world's most powerful nations - yet no clear action is being taken to prevent this from happening. Simply offering the token gestures of vouchers to the lowest earners isn't enough when most of the nation will feel this pain, NOBODY should be forced to pay these crippling prices. 

Those who decide how our lives are treated do so without experiencing the realities of being real working class people and their lack of experience in this way of life is shining through now more than ever, so this petition is for all MP's and politicians - from the PM through to back benchers - to have their salaries reduced to that of National Minimum Wage, not exceeding the income of 40 hours per week. All politicians must be forced to live like those most affected until the fuel price crisis is resolved and life becomes affordable for all again.

Neither heating, nor electric nor commuting should be life perks only the wealthy can afford. Its time MP's really stood with their constituencies and suffered as the people do.
