Free dental treatment for cancer patients

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 39. Cancer affects many people, young and old. Along with the suffering caused by treatment and the financial worries this diagnosis brings, it is expected that cancer patients pay for their dental treatment. Prescription exempt cards are issued but costly dental care is not included like it would be during pregnancy. It is scientifically proven that many cancer and ongoing preventative treatments cause dental issues. But with many cancer patients already struggling financially, many are having to suffer dental pain in silence. How is this fair given everything they are already suffering?
