This all started when my mums wedding venue rang and told her that she had to minimise her wedding to 5 people including her and the groom yesterday!

After having a look on social media I have seen posts from other couples about venues cancelling weddings and venues refusing to postpone or refund any expenses that has been paid.

I am so annoyed that there are venues out there who are trying to take advantage of couples during this time, no help from insurance companies and people who weren’t aware of wedding insurance (like my mum)!

I would like for our government to issue something to say all weddings are temporarily suspended for now and that the venues will be made to rearrange, or if they refuse to rearrange to issue a full refund to the couple or allow a claim in full from an insurance company.

There are a lot of people out there who will be absolutely devastated that their wedding venues or suppliers are cancelling them and not offering them any help, I have read a few posts of many where venues and suppliers are being helpful but for everyone else it’s horrendous! People are going to be losing thousands of pounds and their days ruined.

Please help secure our weddings and finances!
