Now, in 2013 shared ownership was introduced and for many, it was their opportunity to get onto the property. You will only own 25%-75% and the deposit is smaller. Sounds good? Well, once you finally get your keys, your left with the monthly rent which is a few hundred (increases every year) So your pretty much still renting. The only difference is, your paying mortgage and you don't have a landlord.
