Educate our ministers and MPs on environmental alternatives
Allegra Stratton, UK Climate Spokesperson, states that she wouldn't buy an electric car as she sometimes needs to drive 250 miles and prefers an old diesel car.
Despite her job she obviously doesn't know of the existence of plug in hybrid cars, which have the same range as traditional vehicles.
As she is our Climate Spokesperson, therefore the most able of the government in the environmental field, but has no idea about current green technologies; I believe it is imperative to educate our MPs to at least a Primary education level on what green technologies are available. This should cover green energy production, manufacturing, farming, recycling, reducing resource use, and how global warming works.
I feel that Allegra Stratton and others in our government would benefit enormously from this basic education, driving our great nation forwards, and it will help them to understand why they have more than one bin with different colours.
