Owner directors do not have the same financial support given to employees and self employed during this covid 19 lockdown in the UK

Limited company directors generally pay themselves a small salary with the main part of their remuneration made up of dividends. Directors can not furlough themselves as that would mean they can’t do a thing on their businesses.

Directors should receive 80% of their wage made of up of part salary and part dividends in the same way the self employed and employees are to receive government financial support.

Directors are the entrepreneurs and they need help too. Just because they have a different set up than self employed is unfair to penalise them and not give them the support that also need.
