dementia awareness in schools

dementia awareness in schools
As a relative of an individual who suffered with dementia when I was a primary school student, I did not have enough understanding of the condition to fully comprehend why my nanny was behaving the way she was and the enormity of how her life and my families lives had changed.
I would like to have dementia as part of the educational curriculum. This is because I feel that the next generation and future generations do not have enough understanding about the condition, and exactly how it can affect the individuals and the families lives. All I am asking is that the next generation and future generations get 1 hour a week minimum for 1 school term a year dementia awareness training, so they are aware of the symptoms and understand the do’s and do not’s of what to do when someone has dementia.
