Cycle paths/routes with barriers to be made on every road/pavement making everyone safe

With the growing number of cyclists in the UK many of them now succumb to abuse from both pedestrians and road users even if they're being polite and safe, no one can ever seem to agree whether cyclists are meant to be on the road or on the pavement.
With this petition I aim to create safe routes on every public walkway and road for everyone and to stop abuse aimed towards cyclists.
If these cycle routes are to be put on roadsides, they should be protected with barriers allowing cyclists, pedestrians and road users to be safe on their travels. As most studies agree it is safer for a cyclist to be on a pavement than a road as it greatly reduces the chance of fatal accidents.
This will likely cause a tax increase to pay for such routes, however if people are not willing to do this then we should be ensuring cyclists do not get abused and that where there are no cycle routes clearly marked on roads they are able to ride safely on pavements and walkways.
