create a national equality day

As a country, there continues to be ethnic discrimination from all agents of social control. Sociologists have studied, and found that 21% of females and 15% of the males in prison are Afro-Caribbean, although these minority groups are statistically less likely to be involved in crimes. This therefore indicates that police targeting is at least racially premeditated and is a real and common issue in the UK.
There has been a 27% increase in racial hate crimes being committed in the last seven years, while we think as a nation we are becoming more equal, these monstrous statistics say very much so differently.
By creating a National Equality Day, our country will be able to spend the day educating individuals on different ethnic groups and therefore increasing community cohesion.
We need to make a difference. Stop racial discrimination. Act now.
