CAMHS is the main mental health service for children and young people. Vulnerable people are forced to wait months only to be patronised and dismissed by so-called "professionals". Due to lack of funding, CAMHS workers are often disgustingly  undertrained and underqualified which causes a lot more harm than good. 

From the experiences of numerous others and my own I can only come to the conclusion that CAMHS is a waste of time at best and a harmful factor contributing to my generation's infamously ill mental health at worst. 

Annoyingly yet not unexpectedly, I have been unable to find many reputable sources online as most information on CAMHS is from the NHS. However, I did find an article from the BBC on Jess’ story. If anyone feels comfortable enough sharing their story it would be a tremendous help.
