BRIDGE the north south divide - across the Irish Sea at Stranraer.

Building a structure to cross the Irish sea IS possible and desirable:
It will create tens of thousands of jobs in the real north
It IS feasable - there is already a bridge over 20 miles long in China. A combination of bridge and tunnel would probably be the most feasable.
The benefits to the British and Irish economies would be enormous expanding trade and wealth generation throughout the north west of England, Ireland and Scotland.
I am raising this petition to consider the costs and benefits of building the bridge in the Irish, Scottish, British and European parliaments (irrespective of any Brexit negotiations). Ireland would have a great deal to gain and therefore reasonable pressure could be made for the case to part fund via European, Irish and British governments in addition to private investors.
If we build this it will attract the greatest inward investment of businesses outside of London since the discovery of North Sea oil.
NOW IS THE TIME
