Stacey Harris started this petition to UK Parliament

After the disrespectful behaviour from our Government regarding the beauty industry, it’s time to take a stand not only for our livelihood’s but also our respect.
The ignorance on display at one of the most recent parliament’s laughing at our industry, while they all sit back with no worries about how to pay their mortgages, rent, feed the children they choose to laugh at those that can’t.

2020 and it’s still a boys club, the industry is made up of 90% women, we are happy that other industries can reopen but how dare they laugh at the fact that we can’t.

They have still not given us a date or any indication of what we can expect moving forwards and have not given us more funding to help and all they can do is laugh.

If they have been given advice from Medical Officials that our industry, this includes but not limited to beauty, aesthetics, tattooists, SPMU artists have to stay closed due to risk then we have no choice but to accept this, but please help us to pay our bills, feed our children when we can’t go out and do anything about it ourselves.

Apologies should be made and behaviour disgraced, it is NOT OK to laugh at our misfortune at a multi billion pound industry that brings in a fortune in tax which the government will happily take.

An apology, further guidance and funding is needed.
