I have started this petition to support pets (furbabies), and animals across the UK and world. They are stressed and traumatised each year by fireworks, all for HUMANS pleasure and it isn't fair on the animals. 

"Fireworks can be a source of fear and distress for many animals. In particular the sudden, loud noises that many fireworks make can cause fear. ... Animals affected not only suffer psychological distress but can also cause themselves injuries, sometimes very serious ones, as they attempt to run or hide from the noise" 

Tonight my dog, who is normally fine with fireworks has not coped with them due to them being so close. She has been shaking, panting, and has only now settled after me wrapping her in a blanket, cuddling and reassuring her. 

So why not look at fireworks being banned from sales for members of the public and them only being accessed for purchasing for event holders and bring our communities together, to support local events. Instead of torturing animals and pets, as these fireworks don't just go off on Guy Folk's Night, it is the lead up and then afterwards, as well as New Year. And it is all added stress for our pets!
