Ban political parties from using Facebook Advertising in General Elections / Referendums

Pockets of people have started to become aware of the use of Facebook Advertising by UK political parties (and in the US, and by people with specific political agendas i.e. Brexit).
This manipulation can sway voters of particular demographics in key swing areas and we are seeing that it is becoming a very effective tool to win elections. This is evident in with Trump's election in the USA, during the Brexit referendum, and it now seems that the Conservatives used it in the run up to May 2015.
I ask that the Electoral Commission ban the use of Facebook Advertising by political parties before the snap General Election in June 2017.
If this is not possible, then the expenses of this Facebook Advertising should at the very least be included in declared budget of the area to which the advertising is targeted. This way, it should be possible to limit or at least make public spending incurred in targeting certain key demographics in particular constituencies.
Please like and share this petition. We have systems in place to stop this kind of Electoral abuse and the mass public needs to be made aware of this (potentially illegal) practice.
SHARE this campaign directly with all your contacts on email WhatsApp / text message as well as Facebook because it will then have a much wider reach. 7 weeks is not long at all, we need action!
