  1. Complamentary/Alternative/Holistic therpaies should still be allowed to continue during lockdown situations and should be classed as key work.

These therapies are used for a variety of reasons from pain relief, palliative care, mental health, overall wellbeing and so much more.

In a time where this is even more important than ever, we should be looking at supporting the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people, including our NHS workers who are on the front line. Quote from a longterm client who is also an NHS keyworker

"Without having these key holistic therapies, I would struggle to continue practicing as a nurse, as I have found this to be an invaluable and vital element to my personal health and wellbeing" Julie Roberts - Nurse

…In the UK, it’s estimated that around 9 million people use some kind of complementary or alternative medicine (CAM)(College of Medicine and Intergrated Health.org)

Our therapists use, and have always used high standards of hygiene and care to safeguard clients. PPE is always worn in a safe, supportive one to one environment.

These therapies not just provide comfort for people but also take the pressure off our NHS.

We ask to please reclassify the status of holistic medicine to be made a key essential service.
