Camy Boyce started this petition to UK Parliament and

Food banks throughout the UK are in a major crisis at the moment with almost all food supplies running dry.

It’s guaranteed there will be a significant rise this year in people visiting food banks for the first time ever.

The UK government towards the end of 2021 scrapped the universal credit uplift of £20 a week that helped struggling families during the pandemic. Over 6 million claimants in the UK have been calling for an immediate u-turn on this decision but has fallen on deaf ears by our government. So what’s the solution?

Moving forward in 2022 and to completely eliminate anyone in the UK from going hungry and not being able to feed themselves and there families, then all grocery stores including all the major supermarkets and food chain suppliers must donate all edible food waste to food banks. You would be staggered, stunned at the amount of food that didn’t sell that day, that just gets thrown away into a garbage bin.

Everybody has to eat and for food to be thrown away and wasted just isn’t acceptable, especially during a global pandemic. There are vulnerable people in the UK who are really dependent on food banks to get by.

We need the UK government to approve this new law and to put these changes into place asap!

It’s a very simple solution and would be very effective and beneficial to anyone who is suffering.

Thank you for kind attention and I would appreciate if you could sign the petition and help out.
