Pay frontline workers in live event venues the living wage
The hospitality industry is one of the worst offenders for failing to pay its frontline staff the living wage, with up to 90 per cent of staff living below that rate of pay. M&IT magazine and ABPCO is calling on the events industry to insist that venues and event suppliers pay their staff the living wage of £9.15 in London and £7.85 in the rest of the UK. The live events sector is a high worth industry, and staff serving it should be paid accordingly.
