Fraser MacLeman started this petition to UK Legislature and

As a fundamental principle of the Constitution, Government must retain confidence of the Legislature; sovereignty is awarded to the Government in assurance that public needs are met.

As representatives it is the duty of the Legislature to fulfil the sentiment prescribed here by the Electorate.

The gross ineptitude of the current government has been laid bare by a prolonged trend which has been exasperated by recent events.

Clear contempt for Policy and Legislation has been demonstrated, abandoning any concept of due diligence, respect for convention or ethical practice.

The mismanagement demonstrated by the current government can only be described as sheer complacency resulting in exposure of the Electorate to disproportionate risk and would be remiss if this was not addressed directly with those held accountable.

As a response this petition was rejected by the Petitions Committee on the basis that the petition is about honours or appointments - as described:

"Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about honours or appointments.

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers to be sacked or for a vote of no confidence.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.

Date submitted 27 May 2020"

In conclusion, we the Electorate can not allow the Government to continue leading us along the path of dissent that the UK is now on without challenge.
