People were suffering before the price hikes, but from yesterday even more, we are going backwards to the dark ages instead of forward - we pay our taxes so as when we genuinely need help it should be there.  We are one of the richest country’s in the world - we should not be having to choose whether to eat or heat our homes, back to sharing bath water, having cold food instead of hot because we can’t afford to put the cooker on.  The government are quick enough to increase our taxes they need to put our money back into society and help those very people that pay their wages and vote for them to help and support us in our time of need - these times are unprecedented and we need help now, not in 6 months when it rises again but real effective cost of living measures that will make that difference.  Today for the first time my smart meter shows I have spent £15 in one day the heating was only on for 4 hours.  This isn’t safe if the UK government don’t help now - there will be fewer people paying taxes because we can’t afford to get to work.  Reduce vat fuel duty sort the gas and electric out this is crippling society!!!
