I would like to see Bedford Hospital renamed in Capt. Sir Thomas Moore’s honour. His immense efforts at the start of the pandemic in the UK appeared to be for some time the only positive news story in the country, he raised our spirits as well as millions of pounds for the NHS and gave hope to millions. Bedford Hospital was his local hospital and was where he was cared for in his final days. I think it would be a fitting tribute to both Capt. Sir Tom and the dedicated staff at the hospital who looked after him. The Capt. Sir Thomas Moore Memorial Hospital would be a name that the people of Bedford and Bedfordshire could be proud.
