Being a rider of a 125cc Scooter for over a decade, I have always been aware of the necessity to renew my license every 2 years.

I am now due to renew very shortly however due to lockdown I am told that no riding schools are open and able to conduct rider training.

More worryingly, I am being made aware that there are no plans to offer riders an amnesty/extension to their CBT license whilst they cannot get renewed due to the national lockdown.

This leaves me unable to get to work as I leave home at 4am and there are no trains from my location into London at that time.

I am also very aware that if I do ride after my CBT license expires I will be riding illegally and will suffer the consequences if I get stopped by Police.

I am setting up this petition to ask Government to seriously consider an extension and or an Amnesty to CBT licence holders who are due to expire or have already expired their 2 year license period and who cannot get the required training to renew their licence due to the national lockdown.
